Value-driven and in collaboration, I am motivated by the altruistic idea of influencing change by elevating an honest narrative of life across resilient movements and communities. My specialties include grants management, fund and resource development, people and program development, organizational effectiveness, corporate communications, public relations, and marketing. Such work has been produced through B2B and B2C businesses, nonprofits, health care, medical tech companies, and retailers, varying from startups to enterprises.
I am a Business Development professional at Endeavors, a national nonprofit organization focused on Emergency Services. Most recently, I dedicated myself to supporting subsidized housing residents through a public housing agency nonprofit subsidiary focused on resident wraparound services. Previously, as the Grants Manager at the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, I collaboratively secured $2.69 million in government and corporate grants and private philanthropy, including six new funders, between July 2021 and July 2023. Grant funds were designated to enhance service coordination, health and wellness programs, workforce development programming, youth educational success, digital inclusion and digital equity efforts, and mobility initiatives.
My fund development experience within direct service nonprofit agencies has afforded me the insights and acumen to understand the broader community landscape, consistently positioning me to adapt to various contexts of organizational need and opportunity. Specifically advocating for vulnerable populations, from people facing food insecurity ($1.04 million in grant awards) to individuals experiencing homelessness ($2.4 million in grant funds). The COVID-19 pandemic provided unique opportunities to leverage new funding, improving grant income for the 78th-largest charity in the nation and for the largest homeless shelter and services provider in Southwest Texas.
In addition, I served a dual role as a Program Coordinator, administering the program development from a multi-million dollar grant-funded community-wide rapid-rehousing program in El Paso, which resulted from a successful grant submission with a national nonprofit. With a team of eight grant-funded staff across two agencies, hundreds of households who had experienced homelessness in El Paso County were placed into permanent housing within one year while delivering quality care and connections to social services.
I am encouraged by the possibility of effectuating transformational change, driven by a passion for community-building, strategic engagement, and project administration. My experience implementing innovative direct service initiatives has derived from the alignment of mission, vision, and purpose and the commitment to serve people through efficient service coordination. The pursuit of programmatic sustainability inspires me to advance meaningful impact while cultivating a vibrant, equitable, and resilient influence.
